Arabian Chemical Terminal (ACT) ACT is a commercial liquid chemical bulk storage facility in Yanbu, Saudi Arabia. When first conceived as an idea, the primary objective was to introduce to the small and medium sized industries in the region an efficient means for the handling of their liquid chemicals, whether for export or import purposes. Its creation in 1987, allowed, for the first time, these small to medium sized industries to take advantage of bulk logistics which saved them the high costs of drum and Iso Containers. This in turn, spurred growth and prosperity. Today ACT boasts 14 tanks of different sizes with 13,000 M3 of storage capacity. It can handle up to 100,000 MTs of throughput a year. It is also equipped with a laboratory for the testing of products and a drumming facility. It was built to the highest specifications with every health and safety detail taken into consideration. |
