The Company The Saudi Company of Chemical Trading Ltd. (Chemtrade) is a chemical distribution enterprise established in 1979 to cater to the chemical raw material needs of the rapidly growing industrial sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Arabian Gulf region. Headquartered in Jeddah, K.S.A., it has since grown to be one of the largest chemical distributors in the Middle East with over 40,000 Metric Tons of various chemicals sold each year. In response to the market requirements and the intense industrial growth witnessed in the region, the idea of bulk distribution of liquid chemicals was conceived. The result was Arabian Chemical Terminal (ACT) which was the first commercial bulk storage terminal in Saudi Arabia. Erected in 1987, it helped catapult Chemtrade to be the leader in its field and changed the playing field forever. The era of commercial bulk distribution and logistics had arrived and Chemtrade was its initiator – and it remains at its forefront. Today we stand proud to say that we have been instrumental in the growth of so many of our customers whom we have seen expand from infant companies to world scale ventures. Our logistics and distribution services and capabilities are equaled by none, which is why we are the chemical distributor of choice to so many. |
